Dear Mom and Dad, It has now been three months since I left for college. I have been remiss in writing this and I am very sorry for my thoughtlessness in not having written before. I will bring you up to date now, but, before you read on, please sit down. YOU ARE NOT TO READ ANY FURTHER UNLESS YOU ARE SITTING DOWN, OKAY? Well then, I am getting along pretty well now. The skull fracture, and the concussion I got when I jumped out of the window of my dormitory when it caught fire shortly after my arrival, are pretty well healed now. Fortunately, the fire in the dormitory and my jump, were witnessed by an attendant at the gas station near the dorm. He was the one who called the fire department and the ambulance. He also visited me at the hospital, and since I had nowhere to live because of the burned out dormitory, he was kind enough to invite me to share his apartment with him and his three buddies. It's really a basement room, but it's kind of cute. He is a very fine boy and we have fallen deeply in love and are planning to be married. We haven't set the exact date yet, but it will be before my pregnancy begins to show. Yes, Mom and Dad, I am pregnant. I know how much you are looking forward to being grandparents! I know you will welcome the baby and give it the love, devotion and tender care you gave me when I was a child. The reason for the delay in our marriage is that my boyfriend has some minor infection, which prevents us from passing our pre-marital blood tests, and I carelessly caught it from him. This will soon clear up with the penicillin injections I am having daily. I know you will welcome him into our family with open arms. He is kind and, although not well educated, he is ambitious. Although he is of a different race and religion than ours, I know your often expressed tolerance will not permit you to be bothered by the fact that his skin color is different than ours. I am sure you will love him as I do. His family background is good, too, for I am told that his father is an important weapons dealer in the village in Africa from which he came. Now that I have brought you up to date, I want to tell you that there was no dormitory fire, I did not have a concussion or a skull fracture. I was not in the hospital, I am not pregnant and I am not engaged. I do not have syphilis and there is no man (of any color) in my life. However, I got a 'D' in History and an 'F' in Science, and I wanted you to see those marks in the proper perspective. Your Loving Daughter 1 gave in

Today, I thank God for K. POSTED AT 08:33 AM Although I haven't spoken to her since my last birthday, I really felt like it would discourage her if she thought I forgot today she turned a year older. I literally went out of my way to go to her house, visit her, give her the biggest hug and most sincere greeting so that she would know that this day is just as important to me as it is to her. When I changed numbers and my phone got broken, I lost all my contacts. There was no way, and no way at all, I could ever find someone who has her number, considering that no matter how small the world really is, we come from different crowds. So. . . I had to break the rules a little bit, and go the extra mile. I looked for her house, which I by the way have not gone to for the longest time, ring the bell and hope she was home on a monday afternoon. When I finally got there, she was not only home. . she was a plane ride away and was not comming back until wednesday. Well,At least her nanny gave me her number. . and I could call her to let her know that those sand box hours and diaper diaries were something to me even after 18 years of friendship. despite the "Ken-is-mine-barbie-doll-fight" we had for 6 months when we were 7, the misunderstanding we went through with CU in your beach resort, that tested our friendship when we were just a little bit older, and the distance that grew between us as we went through highschool. . I would never have wanted to grow up with a different friend. You know how others had the idealistic kind of childhood? I always thought I wanted that. . but mine wasn't so bad. At least I had your baby carriage beside mine during warm afternoons,you fell down as much, if not more, than I did when we learned to ride bikes in the park, atleast It was you I had the dorkiest pictures taken with. . it was fun, it was real. So, if honor of you. . I'd like the world to know that today, my bestfriend can go to jail (: haha! Just a pass-er by-er. Hehe POSTED AT 08:26 AM KG's in the hospital for 2 fractured bones, one broken and her left leg bruised like wow ): Today's not exactly the best day to be moving around. A series of unfortunate events happened to me all because of my monthly visitor. Ugh, bloody. disgusting and bloody. Anyway, Midterms next week. I wonder if i'll do any good. lady locks, once again. POSTED AT 11:10 AM Ok, I don't actually have the OC disorder;I know i refer to myself as that almost all the time, but i only tend to exaggerate. I did quickly act on an impulse though; It was a sudden decision, a fast thought -today, i got my curls chopped off. I have yet to regret this. Haha (: Or not.
